Students experience ‘the real thing'
On Wednesday 27th February 2012, Year 10 Home Economics students visited the Hellenic Coca Cola bottling plant at Knockmore Lisburn. Visiting the factory enabled students to understand the complete process that a product goes through before reaching the shelves of our local supermarkets. The visit began with an audio-visual presentation of the history of the company and of Coca-Cola, followed by a tour of the production facilities. The tour guide explained how the factory worked and the various factors that affect the quality of the product. Of course, there was also an opportunity to taste Coca Cola’s products. At the end of the tour pupils participated in a very informative question and answer session.
